01. Acceptance of Terms
By browsing, accessing, or interacting with any experiment on the PrayogSetu Virtual Instrumentation Laboratory ("PrayogSetu", "we", "the platform"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with any provision stated herein, you must cease using the platform immediately.
02. Purpose & Academic Scope
PrayogSetu is an academic, open-access virtual engineering laboratory platform created to assist undergraduate, graduate, and vocational engineering students in exploring concepts across:
- Process Instrumentation & Control (PID tuning, RTDs, thermocouples, pressure & level transmitters)
- Digital Electronics & Logic Circuits (logic gates, adders/subtractors, encoders, multiplexers, demultiplexers, flip-flops, counters, shift registers)
- Robotic Kinematics (3-axis gantry and 6-axis articulated arm kinematics)
- Physics & Thermodynamic Principles (laws of motion, fluid dynamics, conservation principles)
03. Permitted Educational Use
Users are granted a non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable, and royalty-free license to access and interact with the platform for:
- Personal study, laboratory coursework, and practical conceptual reinforcement.
- Classroom demonstration, instructional lectures, and academic seminars by professors or educators.
- Engineering research analysis, thesis demonstrations, and non-commercial scientific projects.
04. Simulation Fidelity & Engineering Safety Disclaimer
CRITICAL SAFETY & ENGINEERING DISCLAIMER
PrayogSetu simulations are computer-based numerical, algorithmic, and mathematical approximations developed solely for conceptual learning and academic demonstration. They do not incorporate all real-world environmental disturbances, physical component wear, thermal noise, mechanical backlashes, electrical transients, or safety margins present in physical hardware.
You expressly agree and acknowledge that:
- No Industrial Safety Reliance: Under no circumstances may simulation outputs, PID tuning values, or sensor graphs be utilized to design, operate, validate, or commission real-world industrial plant safety systems, high-voltage circuits, chemical refineries, life-support hardware, or hazardous machinery without rigorous independent physical calculation and testing.
- No Professional Certification: Completion of virtual trials on this platform does not constitute professional engineering certification, licensed safety sign-off, or physical equipment calibration.
05. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use
When utilizing the platform, you agree to:
- Operate simulators in accordance with their intended educational pedagogical objectives.
- Maintain reasonable browser computing resource usage and refrain from running automated load generators against web endpoints.
- Respect intellectual property notices and attribution credits.
06. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to engage in any of the following unauthorized actions:
- Attempting to compromise, probe, scan, or breach the security of the hosting network or infrastructure.
- Launching denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, flood requests, or automated scraping scripts that disrupt platform availability for students and educators.
- Injecting malicious software, viruses, corrupted scripts, or unauthorized iframes into platform elements.
- Falsely claiming official institutional endorsement or representing PrayogSetu as an accredited regulatory testing authority.
07. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership
The PrayogSetu web interface, visual design language (including the Liquid Glass design framework), custom JavaScript mathematical solvers, SVG schematics, interactive canvas engines, and authored documentation were developed by Krish Patel and Dhiren Sewani under the mentorship of Dr. Shriji Gandhi.
All platform trademarks, logos, visual iconography, and original content are protected under copyright and academic intellectual property rights. Reproduction, commercial resale, or white-label redistribution of the platform without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.
08. Third-Party Libraries & External Links
The platform incorporates standard open-source tools and libraries (such as Google Fonts, Lucide/Material Icons, and WebGL APIs). These open-source components remain the intellectual property of their respective creators under their respective permissive licenses.
Links to external websites (such as institutional repositories, GitHub, LinkedIn, or scientific references) are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse or assume liability for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party platforms.
09. Platform Availability & Service Interruptions
While we endeavor to provide continuous access to virtual laboratory modules, PrayogSetu is provided without guarantee of 100% continuous, error-free uptime. Access may be temporarily interrupted without notice due to:
- Server maintenance, code deployments, or network hardware upgrades.
- Client-side browser incompatibilities, WebGL hardware acceleration limitations, or device memory constraints.
- Force majeure events, telecommunication failures, or hosting provider outages.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING ALL SIMULATION MODULES, SCHEMATICS, CALCULATION ENGINES, MATHEMATICAL FORMULAS, AND DOCUMENTATION, IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACADEMIC ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
11. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPERS, PROJECT GUIDES, ACADEMIC MENTORS, OR ASSOCIATED INSTITUTIONS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF ACADEMIC CREDITS, EQUIPMENT DAMAGE, PHYSICAL ACCIDENTS, MISCALCULATED INDUSTRIAL PARAMETERS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR DATA LOSS) ARISING FROM THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THIS PLATFORM OR ITS SIMULATIONS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
12. Changes to Terms & Platform Architecture
We reserve the right to modify, refine, expand, or deprecate any portion of these Terms & Conditions or any simulation module at our discretion. Any revisions will become effective immediately upon publication on this page with an updated Effective Date. Continued usage of the platform confirms your acceptance of any revisions.
